About the Role
EssenceMediacom's specialist entertainment department – TED – is seeking an Account Director to join the Universal UK team, focusing on UK theatrical film releases. This role offers regular client contact and exposure to all media disciplines, reporting to the Senior Associate Director.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality work across multiple live briefs at various stages of the campaign cycle.
- Take ownership of developing strategic and implementational frameworks, responses to briefs, campaign laydowns, and PCAs across varying budget levels.
- Develop and manage junior team members, ensuring their success, growth, and work-life enjoyment.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with specialist teams (AV, OOH & Digital).
- Demonstrate strong financial acumen and adhere to EssenceMediacom’s best financial practices.
- Manage the monthly billing process with assistance from finance teams.
- Oversee larger scale releases and manage partnership conversations with media owners.
- Achieve positive client feedback through collaborative and challenging interactions.
- Gain trust and respect of local clients by working through live briefs and campaigns.
- Integrate into the team dynamic and positively contribute to team values and culture.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the film and media landscape, audience segments, and media planning implications.
- Develop positive working relationships with TED specialists and Global and Central MediaCom teams.
Requirements
- Experience in film is preferred.
- Strong online and offline channel planning experience.
- An unflappable, positive attitude.
- Desire to see the whole team succeed.
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a high-volume, short-turnaround environment.
- Ability to deal with regular ad hoc requests and enjoy troubleshooting.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
