About the Role

Responsibilities

Provide friendly, polite, and knowledgeable service to customers, greeting them personally and thanking them for shopping at Adams.
Answer the phone with a friendly greeting and assist with basic customer inquiries.
Set up baked goods in the morning; stretch, round, and seed breads for bake-off.
Receive and check deliveries against order tickets for accuracy.
Perform daily and weekly cleaning duties, including dishwashing, sanitizing equipment and prep areas, and cleaning mixers, ovens, and grease traps.
Bag and dispose of trash and recycling properly.
Keep all floors clean, dry, and mopped.
Maintain clean and organized areas, including the sales floor, counters, coolers, prep, and storage areas.
Assist the bakery team as needed.
Prioritize helping customers over any other task.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Safely operate and use commercial dishwasher.
Consistently move, adjust, and position items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to remain in a stationary position for duration of shift.
Occasionally ascend/descend a stepstool, stepladder, and/or ladder.
Perform repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers for duration of shift.
Communicate with others to exchange information.
Move self in different positions to accomplish tasks including in tight and confined spaces.
Exposure to cold temperatures periodically during your shift.
