About the Role

The Employment Caseworker engages individuals in job readiness activities to equip them with the necessary skills for future employment, working within the employment program's interorganizational design.

Responsibilities

  • Engage individuals in job readiness activities to obtain skills for future employment.
  • Work with assigned cases, including recipients (A-M) or (N-Z), code 41/42, and other possible codes.
  • Manage non-compliant recipients.
  • Handle WEP, HSE, ESL, and Job Search assignments.
  • Develop worksites.
  • Complete bi-weekly client lists for gasoline and submit for payment.
  • Notify gas stations of current clients receiving gas via fax, drop-off, or phone.
  • Meet with WFD as needed to ensure program design is effective.
  • Meet with DSS examiners as needed.
  • Comply with all contract requirements.
  • Contact clients via telephone; if unsuccessful, conduct a home visit.
  • If client is not home during a visit, generate and print a letter on-site to be left for the client, or attempt contact again.
  • Set individual appointments with clients once contact is made to continue regular engagement.
  • Place participants in appropriate worksites within the county based on individual needs using the CMS referral system.
  • Engage all participants in employment activities to help them become work-ready.
  • Support Client Employment Plans, ensuring they are updated regularly.
  • Ensure CMS case notes reflect changes in case status.
  • Attend staff meetings and other required meetings.
  • Participate in agency functions as appropriate.
  • Attend mandatory training.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma.
  • 1-2 years of case management experience in a human services setting.
  • Relevant years of experience and education will be considered.
  • Offer of employment contingent upon successful completion of a background check.
