Responsibilities

• Greet patients and escort them to examination rooms, assisting with form completion.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient needs, including transportation and rescheduling.
• Perform clerical tasks such as copying, filing, and faxing.
• Maintain procedure rooms, ensuring they are neat and ready for use.
• Assist doctors during Endovenous Laser Therapy procedures according to instructions and preferences.
• Prepare patients before procedures and clean up afterward.
• Ensure patients receive post-procedure instructions and information on obtaining medication.
• Apply knowledge of sterile techniques and OSHA regulations.
• Prepare IV solution.
• Train new staff as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Completion of a Medical Assistant certificate program.
• Active CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification from a recognized national certifying body (e.g., NHA).
• 1+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a closely related role.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Availability to work Saturdays as needed.
• Must be comfortable commuting between Bethpage and Stony Brook clinics.
• Must be able to work Monday - Saturday, with open schedule availability required.
