About the Role
Researchers are responsible for verifying candidate-provided information and inputting results into client-facing reports, adhering to established processes and guidelines for productivity and quality. This role ensures a positive customer and candidate experience by verifying standard screening components using various resources.
Responsibilities
- Ensure duties are carried out professionally and align with the priority to help candidates get hired.
- Quickly and effectively research and verify facts provided by candidates to ensure timely completion of the screening process.
- Conduct interviews with professional referees to verify candidates' employment history.
- Communicate with candidates tactfully and diplomatically to obtain missing information or clarify details.
- Maintain regular contact and support candidates throughout the screening process.
- Collaborate with other teams to keep clients informed of issues during the screening process.
- Review and maintain a thorough understanding of service level agreements and perform work according to client requirements.
- Implement process changes as directed, following updates to service level agreements.
- Stay updated with procedures and Service Level Agreements to continually meet client needs.
- Ensure all actions comply with Data Protection legislation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of actions taken in the background screening process.
- Produce accurate client reports that represent full facts and meet accepted standards.
- Maintain a standard of work that meets department quality and productivity targets.
- Conduct phone calls professionally, reflecting the 'helping people to get hired' philosophy.
- Assist team members and work collaboratively to meet customer expectations.
Requirements
- Work must be completed in the Ontario area due to licensing requirements.
- Must be fluent in both Quebec French & English.
- Computer literate with proficient experience using Microsoft Office and email.
- Confident with telephone communications, including chasing for information while maintaining good client/candidate relations and closing tasks.
- Ability to communicate written and verbally in English with fluency and politeness.
- Works under direct supervision and follows standard procedures to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Follows step-by-step routines or has careful oversight by others.
