About the Role
The Product Owner is responsible for the conception, development, implementation, and operation of web-based products or applications for the trade channel, specifically focusing on the travel agent website CruisingPower.com and its associated marketing and selling tools. This role aims to increase web site visits, adoption, and engagement by implementing strategies to boost agent usage and registrations for Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises globally.
Responsibilities
- Developing the strategic roadmap for the B2B site – CruisingPower.com.
- Managing the entire product life cycle, including user experience, design, and QA.
- Initiating new product development, managing new content, and overseeing site navigation and graphics.
- Developing creative and content strategy by collaborating with various departments and vendors.
- Providing leadership support to the Web Content Producer.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key partners for site growth.
- Coordinating with market research and gathering research as needed.
- Designing and gathering site feedback via surveys.
- Reinforcing communication with IT Portfolio Manager and third-party technology partners.
- Coordinating product and project launch initiatives across multiple channels.
- Overseeing user acceptance testing (UAT), support, and maintenance with IT and partners.
- Interpreting marketing direction for branding and user experience.
- Driving product line development, expansion, and termination.
- Supporting the vision, goals, objectives, and key requirements for international markets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a professional and analytical role.
- Minimum 2 years management experience in a comparable Internet-driven or technology development environment or industry.
- Familiarity with e-commerce distribution models highly desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiating skills.
- Highly organized self-starter able to manage multiple concurrent work streams.
- Ability to produce high-quality deliverables with minimum supervision.
- Web experience preferred.
