About the Role

Responsible for obtaining required information from patients to complete accurate registrations for patient care, billing, and regulatory requirements, documenting all information within the Epic registration system.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately obtain and enter information for 50+ data fields.
  • Utilize pre-determined interviewing techniques and scripting when obtaining information from patients and/or patient representatives, in person or via phone.
  • Demonstrate positive customer service in all interactions.
  • Understand, explain, and accurately complete required facility forms before obtaining and witnessing patient signatures.
  • Perform payment collection activities, including handling cash.
  • Meet or exceed productivity and quality goals.
  • May be assigned to work edits/errors out of designated work queues or reports.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior healthcare registration experience preferred.
  • 1 year of medical office, hospital, or medical insurance related experience preferred.
  • Successful candidates might be required to undergo a background verification with an external vendor.
