About the Role
This role is within Chaucer’s UK Commercial Property insurance team, assisting with the day-to-day running of the account. Key responsibilities include supporting underwriting duties, compliance management, reporting, and liaising with brokers and clients.
Responsibilities
- Support Underwriters in all aspects of underwriting and account management.
- Maintain underwriting logs and coordinate with brokers and underwriters for accurate information.
- Model UK Commercial Property risks.
- Assist with strategy documents and presentations.
- Request renewal underwriting information from brokers and perform pre-renewal analysis.
- Liaise with brokers as directed.
- Attend broker/client meetings and provide assistance.
- Coordinate and perform quality control with Risk Admin.
- Approve endorsements, amendments, and promised lines within underwriting authority.
- Accept individual declarations to specified binders within underwriting authority.
- Assist with special projects.
- Review slips for contract certainty and perform required checks.
- Prepare statistics.
- Assist the Specialist Lines unit head with management data monitoring.
- Maintain risk history through organization and filing.
- Keep bordereaux exposure records.
- Support the Outward Reinsurance division on data queries.
- Comply with all policies and procedures, ensuring good customer outcomes and fair treatment.
- Advise, assist, and service customers on insurance and risk matters.
- Foster positive relationships with customers and understand their needs.
- Identify, record, and refer customer complaints appropriately.
- Assist with annual product review assessments within agreed timescales.
- Follow Chaucer Group Product Governance processes and obtain approvals.
- Ensure Agents and Service Providers uphold principles of good customer outcomes and fair treatment.
Requirements
- UK Commercial Property insurance experience.
