About the Role
Engineer the future of global finance at Citi, where the Tech team redefines finance by building systems that matter, influencing economies, driving innovation, and offering growth through mentorship, learning, and flexibility. Responsibilities
- Design and build business requirements on a microservices architecture platform used by senior bankers globally.
- Perform full-stack implementation from Angular frontend to Java/Spring Boot backend and MongoDB/MSSQL data layer.
- Demonstrate strong fundamentals in systems analysis, design patterns, and SDLC, including unit/integration testing and CI/CD practices.
- Leverage AI coding agents for accelerated engineering.
- Critically review and test requirements, owning deliverables to ensure structural integrity, security compliance, and production readiness.
- Communicate effectively with Product & Engineers in global squads on integrations.
- Learn and apply Corporate Banking domain knowledge.
Requirements
- Significant hands-on experience with Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, Java & Spring framework.
- Proven experience with API-first solutions (REST, GraphQL).
- Experience designing & implementing large-scale platforms using microservices architecture.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery teams with incremental frequent releases.
- Database design and queries in RDBMS & NoSQL (Highly desirable).
- Messaging broker / Kafka experience (Highly desirable).
- Spec-driven development understanding (Desirable).
