About the Role

The House Attendant supports the Housekeeping Management Team by assisting Room Attendants with heavy lifting, linen transport, and trash removal. This role ensures the cleanliness of public areas, manages laundry operations, and maintains high standards of guest service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Sonesta G.U.E.S.T. service standards in all guest interactions
• Assist Room Attendants with heavy items such as mattresses and linens
• Deliver linens and supplies to Room Attendant carts
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of floor closets and corridors
• Respond to guest requests in a timely and efficient manner
• Clean public restrooms, storage rooms, and other public spaces
• Report needed repairs or unsafe conditions to management
• Minimize waste of housekeeping supplies and amenities
• Process lost and found items according to established procedures
• Perform deep cleaning projects as assigned
• Monitor laundry supplies and operate commercial washers and dryers
• Inspect soiled linens for damage and fold/store clean linens
• Coordinate with other shifts and management to promote teamwork
• Ensure compliance with health and safety laws

Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, climb, kneel, and move about the facility frequently
• Ability to carry, lift, or pull items weighing up to 75 pounds
• Ability to work with commercial cleaning chemicals
• Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Skills

• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical abilities
• Fluent English communication skills
• Multilingual abilities are beneficial

Experience Level

• Previous housekeeping experience preferred
• Background in the extended stay industry preferred

Salary/Compensations

• $24.09 - $26.60 per hour
