About the Role
Mid America Health is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our Ohio team. This EFDA position offers a rewarding, low-stress alternative to private practice dentistry with excellent work/life balance and the opportunity to serve an underserved population.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine chairside duties including preventive, restorative, extraction, and prosthodontic care.
- Place and finish permanent dental fillings.
- Apply fluoride varnishes and desensitizing agents.
- Provide oral hygiene instructions.
- Handle some administrative duties.
Requirements
- 1 year experience preferred.
- Certificate from an accredited dental assisting program preferred.
- Current CPR for Healthcare Providers required.
- Active Ohio Dental Radiographer License required.
- Active Ohio Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary license required.
- Willingness to travel throughout Ohio once the position transitions.
