About the Role

Centric Software is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to manage all legal matters for the DACH region, focusing on technology transactions, labor law, and corporate governance. This role offers the autonomy to make decisions and drive outcomes with minimal oversight, reporting to the Legal Director, EMEA. The position is ideal for a self-starter with a technology transactional background who wants to contribute to shaping the company's legal function and modernize legal service delivery globally.

Responsibilities

Independently own DACH region from a legal standpoint, while working closely as part of the wider EMEA legal team
Support EMEA and global colleagues as needed
Serve as EMEA lead supporting the DACH sales team
Structure, draft, and negotiate master agreements for software, services, and cloud, statements of work, and other technology transactions
Manage a multi-million-euro transaction pipeline
Negotiate directly with customer legal and procurement teams
Advise regional management and executives on all aspects relating to commercial disputes and contribute to their resolution
Collaborate as a trusted legal advisor and provide leadership to cross-functional stakeholders (HR, Marketing, Finance, R&D, etc.) on topics such as labor law, corporate governance, marketing activities and other topics arising in your region
Lead or contribute to global initiatives, including presenting to Centric Software’s executives

Requirements

German-qualified lawyer with 5-10 years of relevant experience as a seasoned technology transactional lawyer
Strong substantive knowledge of IT/technology law needed to confidently draft and negotiate complex technology transactions
Experience gained as in-house legal counsel and/or in private practice
Extensive experience with complex multinational SaaS and cloud contracts and transactions in a fast-paced, technology-driven company
Comfortable operating autonomously in a fast-paced, quarterly driven business environment
Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to lead deals to closure independently and negotiate confidently and directly with customer legal and procurement teams
Able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and meet demanding deadlines without sacrificing clarity, in a multicultural, diverse, and fast-paced environment
Solid understanding of data privacy in a B2B and B2B2C context (not limited to German privacy law)
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate successfully with and provide leadership to cross-functional stakeholders
Experience managing outside counsel and/or legal budgets is a plus
Comfortable using AI tools and contract lifecycle management (CLM) platforms to drive efficiency
Open to adopting new tools as our legal tech stack evolves (currently including Summize, Claude, and ChatGPT)
Fluency in German and English is required
