About the Role

VFX is seeking Payments Analysts to join their Treasury team. This role involves managing the Group's cash, safeguarding client funds, and ensuring timely global payments. You will support daily operations, including funding accounts, processing payments, investigating queries, and reconciling with banking partners. This is a hands-on position for problem-solvers who thrive on precision in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Responsibilities

Support daily payment operations to ensure accounts are funded and payments are processed accurately and on time.
Monitor and manage the Payments Operations mailbox, distributing tasks and responding to queries.
Process payments using banking portals such as Barclays.net, Barclays File Gateway, and RBS Bankline.
Investigate and resolve queries related to inbound and outbound payments.
Act as a first-line escalation point for payment-related issues.
Reconcile payments with our blue-chip banking partners.
Assist with the reconciliation of internal broker and treasury accounts.
Liaise with banks to resolve payment issues and ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or another relevant discipline (or equivalent experience)
Strong communication skills — both written and verbal.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
Positive, dependable, and proactive mindset.
Comfortable asking questions and taking initiative.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Calm under pressure and deadline-driven.
Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Internship or academic experience in financial services or payments (Nice to Have)
Familiarity with banking portals or payment systems (Nice to Have)
Interest in treasury, payments, or financial operations (Nice to Have)
