About the Role

This role is responsible for owning the global brand strategy and marketing organization for Immunic as the company prepares for the potential launch of vidofludimus calcium in relapsing MS. It is a builder role focused on establishing the marketing function from the ground up, leading global brand strategy, and ensuring cross-functional alignment across U.S. and international markets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own global brand strategy and positioning for vidofludimus calcium in relapsing MS.
  • Lead brand architecture, naming, and visual identity decisions.
  • Translate clinical and mechanism-of-action data into a differentiated brand story.
  • Lead marketing's contribution to integrated launch planning.
  • Apply lessons from prior global MS product launches to the launch playbook.
  • Build and manage the marketing budget and launch investment plan.
  • Design and build the global marketing function, including organizational structure and hiring.
  • Select and manage external agency partners.
  • Establish marketing operating processes and governance.
  • Own healthcare provider (HCP) marketing strategy.
  • Own patient- and caregiver-facing marketing and disease education strategy.
  • Lead omnichannel and digital marketing strategy.
  • Lead global market research to inform positioning and messaging.
  • Translate physician, patient, and payer insights into actionable strategy.
  • Partner with Market Access, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and Legal/Compliance.
  • Represent the global brand perspective in leadership and launch readiness discussions.
  • Coordinate with international colleagues to ensure effective brand translation.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive marketing experience in biotechnology or pharmaceuticals.
  • Significant experience in brand and global marketing leadership roles.
  • Direct experience leading global brand strategy and marketing through an MS therapy launch.
  • Proven track record building a marketing organization and brand strategy from the ground up.
  • Experience managing global or multi-market brand positioning.
  • Strong experience managing external agency partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate clinical and scientific data into brand positioning.
  • Experience partnering with Market Access, Medical Affairs, and Patient Advocacy.
  • Comfort operating in a lean, fast-moving, pre-commercial biotech environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25–35% of the time, including internationally.
  • Experience launching a therapy with a novel mechanism of action or first-in-class positioning.
  • Existing relationships within the global MS clinical, scientific, and advocacy community.
  • Experience operating across both U.S. and European commercial environments.
  • Familiarity with digital and omnichannel marketing approaches for specialty/rare disease brands.
