About the Role
This is an exciting role for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Power Trading software team, and to play a key role in our growth and continued evolution of our technology platforms. Working across a complex suite of products, you will combine hands-on software development with software design and architecture, helping to shape scalable, maintainable solutions while delivering high-quality production code.
Responsibilities
- Designing, developing and maintaining client-facing applications that handle large and complex datasets in real-time
- Contributing to the ongoing evolution of our software architecture, identifying opportunities to improve scalability, performance, maintainability and resilience
- Continuously improving code to align with best practices, with a focus on code structure, testability and documentation
- Participating in the development of new features, from initial design through to delivery
- Providing operational support for Azure cloud services, including App Services, deployment pipelines (CI/CD), and Azure Front Door
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of C#
- Experience designing scalable, maintainable and high-performance software systems
- Familiarity with Agile development environments and code review practices
- Comfortable working as part of a team
- Enthusiasm for providing an excellent user experience
- Keen to learn new skills on the job
- Good communicator with the ability to discuss technical matters in non-technical language
