About the Role
The Monster Golf Club, located in Kiamesha Lake, NY, is seeking a driven individual to manage all aspects of the Club, including its activities and relationships with stakeholders. This role contributes to a global leader in golf and community management.
Responsibilities
- Administers Club policies and procedures.
- Plans, develops, and approves operational policies, programs, and procedures.
- Monitors financial reports and takes corrective action.
- Coordinates the development of long-range and annual business plans.
- Establishes personnel policies, training, and development programs.
- Interviews, hires, trains, manages, and evaluates associates.
- Directly manages department members.
- Attends conferences, workshops, and meetings.
- Coordinates operating and capital budgets.
- Serves as ex-officio member of the Board of Directors and committees.
- Provides advice and recommendations regarding construction, alterations, maintenance, and supplies.
- Ensures the Club operates in accordance with all applicable laws.
- Oversees the care and maintenance of all physical assets and facilities.
- Ensures the highest standards for services.
- Establishes and monitors compliance with procurement policies.
- Participates in outside activities to enhance the Club's prestige.
- Reports member infractions to the Board of Directors/Ownership group.
- Serves as liaison between management staff and the Board of Directors.
- Maintains relations with governmental agencies.
- Performs competitive analyses on other businesses.
- Handles emergencies promptly and emphasizes prevention.
- Convenes and presides over meetings with departmental managers and personnel.
- Gives direction to and works closely with vendors and contractors.
- Oversight of beach, recreation & fitness center, tennis, membership pools, golf operations and golf course maintenance.
- Reports directly to Troon VP of Operations and Resort General Manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (BA); or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- High end resort golf facility experience.
- Ability to read and speak English may be required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
