About the Role

As a Financial Consultant, you are responsible for the financial oversight and governance of the company’s Global IT spend, providing high-quality financial analysis, forecasting, and decision support to senior stakeholders. You will work closely with business partners to ensure budget alignment, track planned versus actual cost consumption, and maintain transparency across financial performance and cost drivers. The role includes coordinating financial reporting, supporting cost optimization initiatives, and acting as a trusted financial partner to ensure disciplined and efficient resource utilization in line with strategic objectives. You will also contribute to company-wide and intracompany initiatives, collaborating cross-functionally to support financial consistency, compliance, and value creation.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present high-quality financial reports for business development and KPI-based performance tracking for IT and Business Stakeholders.
  • Analyze monthly costs and investments (variance analysis, Business Cases, etc.) and develop appropriate recommendations for management.
  • Provide proactive support for company-wide initiatives and act as the main contact person.
  • Organize and align reporting processes while tracking the operational budget for assigned areas and a consolidated view of entity-based Opex and Capex.
  • Use financial know-how to provide positive impulses to the business and identify potential pitfalls.
  • Strategically advise stakeholders on individual and combined goals of the organization against pre-aligned initiatives.
  • Take initiatives to enable efficient streamlining of processes and Ad-Hoc requests.
  • Ongoing development of Controlling IT systems: optimize analysis, planning, and existing management information systems.
  • Provide valuable ad-hoc analyses upon request.

Requirements

  • University degree in Economics, Business Administration or similar (e.g. B.Sc. / M.Sc.).
  • At least 10+ years of working experience within a senior controlling and/or finance role in a large matrix-organization or similar.
  • Knowledge of SAP environment will be an asset.
  • Working knowledge of IT Management tools (such as ServiceWare) will be an advantage.
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Proactive result-oriented team-player with the ability to work independently and is self-motivated.
  • Very good fluency in English (written and verbal).
  • German is an advantage.
