About the Role
The Amberleigh, a premier retirement community in Williamsville, NY, provides quality care to residents in an Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care community.
Responsibilities
- Assist the culinary director in management, planning, and directing the activities of the culinary service department.
- Manage and supervise dining services staff.
- Ensure food service standards, policies, procedures, equipment, systems, city and state regulations, and work areas meet the highest quality of food service for residents.
- Coordinate with nursing staff to ensure residents' needs are met.
- Assist in ordering supplies and maintain inventory control.
- Verify received orders and ensure needed goods are on hand.
- Ensure all budgetary guidelines are achieved.
- Assist with managing both Back of House (BOH) and Front of House (FOH) teams.
- Willing and able to cook daily in the kitchen.
Requirements
- At least 3-5 years of experience as an Executive Chef, Kitchen Manager, or Culinary Director in restaurants, hotels, skilled nursing facilities, or senior living.
- Serve Safe Certification or Certified Dining Manager (CDM).
