About the Role

The Financial Analyst/Project Planning & Controls – Aerosciences Group supports the financial planning, analysis, and execution of government and commercial programs. This role is responsible for developing and monitoring program budgets, forecasts, financial reporting, and cost analyses while ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and company policies. Working closely with Program Managers and cross-functional teams, the Financial Analyst provides financial guidance, supports proposal pricing and budgeting, and helps drive informed decision-making and successful program performance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, analyze, and manage program budgets, cost baselines, forecasts, and financial deliverables to support successful program execution and organizational objectives.
  • Monitor program financial performance, including burn rates, funding utilization, cost variances, and contract funding limitations, ensuring proactive identification and resolution of financial risks.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate and timely financial reports, analyses, and forecasts for senior leadership, program managers, and external customers.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, government regulations, company policies, and financial controls across all assigned programs.
  • Support proposal development efforts by preparing pricing analyses, cost estimates, budget projections, and financial models for new business opportunities and contract bids.
  • Review, validate, and process procurement requests and purchasing activities in accordance with approved government and organizational policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
  • Partner with Program Managers, Contracts, Procurement and Operations teams to provide financial guidance, support strategic decision-making, and drive program performance throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Assist the Business and Finance Manager in the development of annual budgets, long-range forecasts, financial planning initiatives, and monthly financial reviews.
  • Conduct variance analysis and identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve financial performance, resource allocation, and overall program profitability.
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial data within enterprise financial systems and contribute to continuous process improvements that enhance reporting efficiency and operational effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is required.
  • 3+ years in program finance, pricing or financial planning and analysis.
  • Government Contract knowledge preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Experience with enterprise systems such as Deltek Costpoint preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain and remain eligible for a US Department of Defense security clearance.
