About the Role

Legal Affairs sits at the heart of Spotify's mission, ensuring compliance with global regulations while championing user safety, transparency, and trust. The Product & Regulatory team leads the company’s global approach to digital-platform regulation, managing workflows, documentation, and cross-functional coordination for laws like the EU Digital Markets Act (DMA) and EU Digital Services Act (DSA). This role is crucial for operationalizing regulatory requirements into well-managed processes.

Responsibilities

  • Own and improve document management for the product and regulatory team, organizing compliance records, maintaining regulatory filing systems, and ensuring efficient access to information.
  • Build and maintain regulatory monitoring practices, tracking legislative developments, managing regulatory calendars, and surfacing relevant changes.
  • Manage terms-of-service and policy update processes end-to-end, coordinating drafts, reviews, approvals, and publication timelines.
  • Project-manage special projects and cross-functional initiatives for the Product & Regulatory Legal team, driving workstreams from initiation to completion with clear milestones and owners.
  • Support responses to regulatory requests for information (RFIs) and audits, coordinating materials and inputs across teams for timely and accurate submissions.
  • Develop and maintain internal playbooks, process documentation, and communications to ensure smooth compliance workflows.
  • Coordinate with Product, Trust & Safety, and Engineering to maintain operational controls and reporting processes for active regulatory programs.
  • Identify operational gaps and drive continuous improvement in the team's regulatory workload management.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in operations, program management, or legal operations within a tech, digital-platform, or media environment.
  • Familiarity with online-platform regulation (DMA, DSA, UK OSA, AUS OSA, COPPA) is a plus.
  • Proven project management skills to manage competing deadlines, align stakeholders, and drive programs to completion.
  • Excellent communication skills for chasing down answers, briefing senior stakeholders, and keeping cross-functional partners on track.
  • Resourceful and proactive approach to problem-solving and process building.
  • Skilled in document management, knowledge organization, and building operational infrastructure.
  • Comfortable working across global time zones and cultures in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Experience with project management tools (Jira, Asana, Notion, or similar) and a preference for structured execution.
