About the Role

The Studio and Artworker role is central to Echo House's business, involving close collaboration with Project and Design teams. This position requires a deep understanding of print production techniques and artwork preparation, ensuring all output meets the highest standards of quality and precision. You will lead artwork development for key clients, building strong relationships and tailoring technical approaches to their specific needs.

Responsibilities

  • Create, modify, and prepare artwork for client approval and print production.
  • Develop and produce high-quality artwork in line with brand and project requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with the design and project teams to foster creative solutions.
  • Efficiently manage a varied workload, showcasing autonomy and strong prioritisation skills.
  • Utilise advanced industry software to deliver top-tier design quality.
  • Actively contribute to refining studio processes and strategies to boost team effectiveness.
  • Offer expertise in artworking, print processes, and material selections.
  • Engage in client consultations, maintaining strong client relationships focused on artworking.
  • Prepare and finalise artwork for proofs and production, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Maintain a current working knowledge with software updates and professional skill enhancement.
  • Directly and indirectly support client needs, advising on best practice in artwork and production.
  • Maintain an excellent standard of artworking consistently whilst working under strict time constraints and often changing priorities.
  • Maintain your workload effectively, including independently prioritising individual jobs to maximise efficiencies, and communicating challenges and opportunities to your department leads.
  • Undertake bespoke projects as needed, supporting the broader objectives of Echo House.

Requirements

  • Minimum three years of relevant professional experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of print production techniques and artwork preparation.
  • Comfortable and proficient in both Waterfall and Agile workflow approaches.
  • Ability to work ad hoc additional hours, or out of regular working hours, as a normal function of the role (paid overtime or time in lieu provided).
  • Flexibility, responsiveness, and composure are essential.
  • Capacity to collaborate, deliver results, and bring a proactive spirit to a dynamic, often high-pressure environment.
  • Individual diligence with a focus on team participation.
  • Level-headed approach to demanding circumstances.
  • Flexibility and willingness to provide practical support where necessary.
  • A quick learner with a positive approach.

  • In-depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, interactive PDFs.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Suite.
