About the Role
Conduit Health is seeking a Billing Specialist to manage the end-to-end billing lifecycle across DME, Telehealth, and Data verticals. This role involves managing vendor relationships, resolving denials, and building scalable billing systems. You will have high autonomy to develop protocols based on proactive research and thrive at the intersection of healthcare operations, claim strategy, and health tech M&A integration.
Responsibilities
- Manage every stage of the billing lifecycle from EDI payor enrollment and claim submission through remittance posting and patient collections.
- Monitor A/R Aging, identify stalled claims, and proactively resolve payor edits, rejections, and denials.
- Ensure EDI trading partner agreements are executed and tested before go-live dates.
- Build and run a structured denial and appeals workflow, tracking root-cause trends and implementing upstream fixes.
- Identify upstream issues related to auth, intake, or documentation to reduce denial rates.
- Act as the primary point of contact for outsourced billing vendors and billing software partners, holding them accountable for SLAs, submission quotas, timelines, and KPIs.
Requirements
- Several years of experience in Medical Billing.
- Interest in stepping into a management role.
- Experience in a high-growth HealthTech DME environment.
- Understanding of Medical Billing intricacies to guide outsourced billers.
- Track record of measurably reducing A/R aging and denial rates.
- Experience fixing the root cause of denials.
- Experience with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) billing.
- Solid understanding of how Telehealth fits into the DME picture.
- Knowledge of when a CMS submission requires deep refinement.
