About the Role
Farsight is a ~40-person SaaS company building workflow automation for investment banks, private equity, hedge funds, and asset managers. As we scale toward 100 employees, we're hiring an IT & Security Generalist to grow into ownership of the IT and Security function, mentored directly by our Head of Information Security. Security judgment here directly affects customer trust, not just process.
Responsibilities
- Picking up onboarding/offboarding processes
- Device fleet compliance
- Tier 1 support
- Inventory management
- Growing into full ownership of identity
- Growing into full ownership of endpoint management
- Growing into full ownership of security triage
- Growing into full ownership of vendor management
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional experience in an IT capacity
- Experience with Mac, Windows, and mobile provisioning and MDM
- Experience with SaaS tool administration (Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, etc.)
- Basic networking knowledge (Wi-Fi, VPN, firewall basics)
- Understanding of security hygiene (access controls, offboarding, MFA, SSO)
- Experience with user support and onboarding
- Basic cloud familiarity (AWS or GCP at a user level)
- Legally able to work in the US
- Ability to work onsite in NYC
