About the Role

Eagle Metalcraft is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fabrication Technician with CNC programming experience to operate advanced fabrication equipment, including laser cutting, punching, forming, and hardware installation systems. The role requires hands-on expertise with machinery and CAD/CAM software, focusing on quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate an LVD 6kW Puma fiber laser using Cadman software
• Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs for a Trumpf punch press
• Program and operate a Trumpf TruBend press brake using Boost software
• Set up and operate Amada press brakes for forming operations
• Operate Haeger hardware insertion machines for installation of fasteners and hardware
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to ensure accurate part production
• Set up machines, tooling, and materials for production runs
• Monitor production processes and perform in-process and final quality inspections
• Troubleshoot programming or machine issues and implement corrective actions
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve workflows and reduce waste
• Maintain equipment and ensure a safe, organized work environment

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in sheet metal fabrication and CNC programming
• Proficiency with Cadman and Boost CAD/CAM software
• Experience operating LVD laser systems, Trumpf punch and press brakes, and Amada press brakes
• Experience with hardware insertion equipment such as Haeger machines
• Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes, tooling, and materials
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
