About the Role

As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification. Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven values.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities at a grocery retail location.
  • Perform armed patrol duties throughout the store, parking areas, loading areas, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and applicable laws.
  • Maintain accountability for assigned equipment and firearm, following Allied Universal policies, client requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Prepare accurate incident reports and communicate observations, hazards, and security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Requirements

  • Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
