About the Role
The Project Manager is responsible for managing and leading projects to achieve financial, delivery, and customer satisfaction objectives across all project phases. This role supports both production and design/development projects, focusing on short-term and long-term strategies.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute project work plans, revising as needed for changing requirements.
- Manage all project life cycle phases: initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and closing.
- Define and document project tasks and resource requirements.
- Coordinate subcontractor work for various project phases.
- Manage day-to-day project operations, scope, plan changes, and status reports.
- Track and control schedule and costs to ensure project completion within time and budget.
- Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
- Prepare, administer, and document project meetings.
- Provide direction and support to the project team.
- Serve as the primary contact for external and internal project teams.
- Administer construction contracts and obtain necessary permits and licenses.
- Monitor site and/or project safety, correcting violations.
- Analyze project outcomes to identify future improvements.
- Minimize EnerSys' exposure and risk on projects.
Requirements
- B.S. in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering.
- 6+ years of Project Management, Program Management, or IT Management experience.
- 5+ years of ERP or packaged software implementation experience.
- Knowledge of code requirements for specialty trade systems and their integration.
- Advanced proficiency in CAD drawings, Gantt charts, Microsoft Project, Excel, and Visio.
- Ability to work with limited direct supervision.
- Ability and willingness to learn and grow within the organization.
- Strong verbal, telephone, and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge and experience with multiple applications, technologies, and database platforms.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
