About the Role

Montefiore Medical Center's Pediatric Behavioral Health Integration Program (BHIP) is recruiting LMSWs and LCSWs for full-time positions in its HealthySteps program and Child-Adolescent Psychology and Social Work (CAPS) programs. HealthySteps is a mental health promotion program that provides developmental and support to families with children aged 0-5 years. BHIP places behavioral health clinicians into primary care pediatric clinics across Bronx and Westchester Counties, partnering with pediatric primary care to support social, emotional, and cognitive skills important to healthy development.

Responsibilities

Providing clinical services in nontraditional modalities, including as part of medical visits
Assessing the growth and development of infants and young children
Working with parents and families, including assessment of parent-child relationships and family systems
Providing evidence based behavioral health services

Requirements

LMSW or LCSW
Training and experience with evidence-based behavioral health interventions to children and adolescents of all ages
Experience working in a medical setting or with health professionals
Experience assessing the growth and development of infants and young children
Experience working with parents and families, including assessment of parent-child relationships and family systems
Experience/training providing evidence based behavioral health services

Skills

Flexibility to work in various capacities on an interdisciplinary team
Ability to work independently
Self-reflection about work and professional role
Enthusiasm for learning new skills and commitment to professional development
Bilingual – Spanish speaking preferred
