About the Role

The VP, Bank Platforms and Family Office is responsible for driving Manulife Investment's distribution strategy across Canadian bank-owned wealth platforms and multi-family offices. The role is accountable for deepening executive-level relationships, expanding product placement opportunities, and delivering business growth across the firm's investment solutions. As a senior member of the National Accounts team, the VP develops and executes strategic account plans, influences key platform and family office decision-makers, and positions Manulife as a preferred investment partner.

Responsibilities

  • Lead executive relationships across assigned bank-owned wealth platforms and multi-family offices.
  • Build deep partnerships with senior executives, investment committees, research teams, platform leaders, and key decision-makers to advance Manulife's strategic objectives and strengthen its position as a preferred asset management partner.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive account strategies that align client priorities with Manulife's growth objectives.
  • Identify opportunities, manage risks, and drive execution plans that deliver measurable business outcomes across platforms and family office channels.
  • Drive asset and revenue growth by identifying and executing opportunities across Manulife's investment capabilities, including mutual funds, ETFs, SMAs, alternatives, private markets, and customized family office solutions.
  • Develop strategic growth plans that expand Manulife's market share and deepen client engagement.
  • Lead Manulife's engagement strategy across dealer platforms, recommended lists, model portfolios, managed account programs, alternative investment platforms, and multi-family offices.
  • Develop and execute positioning strategies to secure new placements, expand shelf space, and increase adoption of Manulife solutions.
  • Deliver strategic value through market insights, practice management programs, investment thought leadership, and business-building initiatives that support client growth.
  • Represent Manulife at industry conferences, due diligence meetings, client events, and strategic forums.
  • Lead collaboration across Sales, Product, Marketing, Investments, Operations, and Compliance to deliver a consistent client experience and execute strategic initiatives.
  • Act as a key internal advocate for client needs, market opportunities, and platform priorities.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in asset management distribution, National Accounts, wealth management, institutional sales, or strategic relationship management.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex client relationships and delivering commercial results.
  • Deep understanding of Canadian bank-owned wealth platforms and dealer distribution channels.
  • Deep understanding of multi-family office business models and investment decision-making processes.
  • Deep understanding of investment solutions including mutual funds, ETFs, SMAs, alternatives, private markets, and managed account programs.
  • Strong understanding of securities regulations, product approval frameworks, and industry compliance standards, including NI 81-105.
  • Experience managing due diligence processes, RFPs, RFIs, and product reviews.
  • Strong analytical and business planning capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency with CRM platforms and business intelligence tools.
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, negotiation, and executive engagement skills.

Salary/Compensations

  • $136,500.00 CAD - $176,500.00 CAD
