About the Role
The Assistant Director of Nursing holds 24-hour responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. This role involves coordinating nursing activities, managing administrative duties, and ensuring patient care aligns with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Assume 24-hour responsibility for patient care assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Coordinate and control all nursing activities.
- Manage administrative and managerial responsibilities on a 24-hour basis.
- Monitor patient care to ensure consistency with hospital and nursing department policies.
- Ensure compliance with state DOH, JCAHO, and other accrediting agency standards.
Requirements
- Master's degree.
- Minimum 5 years of Medical/Surgical or clinical experience.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- NYS RN license.
