About the Role

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an inpatient setting.
• Contribute to unit activities and enhance the care delivery system.
• Anticipate patient needs and assist with complex patient care.
• Assume responsibility for assigned patients under the direction of the co-assigned RN or MD.
• Participate in the plan of care, implement nursing interventions, and contribute to patient/family education.
• Work full-time, with rotating shifts (D/E/N), 8/10/12 hour shifts, holidays, and on-call duties.
• Provide technical knowledge in preparing instruments, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures.
• Assist the surgical team from the scrub position during operations.
• Process instruments and stock the Operating Room.
• Demonstrate good interpersonal skills, strong prioritization, and organizational skills.

Requirements

• Requires a diploma from an accredited LPN Nursing Program.
• Requires an active New York State LPN license in good standing.
• OR experience preferred but not required.
