Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an inpatient setting.
- Contribute to unit activities and enhance the care delivery system.
- Anticipate patient needs and assist with complex patient care.
- Assume responsibility for assigned patients under the direction of the co-assigned RN or MD.
- Participate in the plan of care, implement nursing interventions, and contribute to patient/family education.
- Work full-time, with rotating shifts (D/E/N), 8/10/12 hour shifts, holidays, and on-call duties.
- Provide technical knowledge in preparing instruments, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures.
- Assist the surgical team from the scrub position during operations.
- Process instruments and stock the Operating Room.
- Demonstrate good interpersonal skills, strong prioritization, and organizational skills.
Requirements
- Requires a diploma from an accredited LPN Nursing Program.
- Requires an active New York State LPN license in good standing.
- OR experience preferred but not required.
