About the Role
Anesthesiologist opportunity to support a busy hospital-based practice in White Plains, NY, with a diverse case mix in a care team model. White Plains Hospital is the most awarded and fastest growing hospital in Westchester County, renowned for its specialized surgical care supported by the anesthesiology department. Operations and surgical procedures are performed solely by attendings, ensuring exceptional efficiency. The organization's mission is to provide compassionate, high-quality healthcare and preventive medical care to the Westchester County area. The practice provides anesthesia services for a diverse case mix at White Plains Hospital and five Ambulatory Surgery Centers. Recent enhancements include a Night Float Anesthesiologist for Labor and Delivery and a low frequency of overnight call. The group is vibrant and energetic, composed of 45 anesthesiologists and 15 CRNAs from top programs, covering 41 anesthetizing locations daily.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures
- Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent
- Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients
- Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Monitor the patient's physiological condition and perform interventions as needed
- Support departmental coordination and clinical leadership
Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited institution
- Completion of Anesthesiology Residency
- Board Eligible or Board Certified
- Current medical licensure
- ECFMG/FLEX (if applicable)
