About the Role

As a Technical Project Manager for the Identity and Biometrics Solutions team, you will deliver solutions that meet external customer requirements and Thales’ commitments. The Technical Project Manager manages and coordinates internal and external dedicated teams by involving associated teams like Sales, finance, and contract management. In this role, you will direct project activities to ensure projects are delivered on-time, within budget, satisfy technical requirements, and meet customer expectations.

Responsibilities

Establish and update project requirements baseline in collaboration with the Bid Manager and the Capture Leader.
Establish and update project execution baseline, including work package descriptions, partner and supplier contractual data, management plans, costs, budgets, financial structure, resourced schedule, and risks and mitigations.
Lead customer interactions for the project.
Lead the project launch review and involve all stakeholders.
Manage legal and contractual requirements, including handling disputes.
Conduct regular progress review meetings and report project progress to senior management.
Close the project by archiving documents, closing expenditure authorizations, and capitalizing on enterprise experience.
Coordinate across teams for prioritization, resource allocation, risk identification and mitigation, and issue resolution.
Monitor project variances and prepare Estimate at Completion (EAC) review slides for management presentation.
Present monthly project dashboards with project financials and KPIs.
Drive the project to ensure customer satisfaction by meeting deadlines, quality specifications, and project profitability.
Build project schedule and cost baseline and update project forecast regularly.
Work closely with the PM Team Manager, Engineering, IT, Security, and Operations to ensure clear communication, business-based prioritization, and definition of scope and planning.
Cultivate and maintain strong partnerships with decision-makers across operations groups to build and improve processes for high quality and on-time delivery.
Ensure compliance with Thales, Customer, Security, and all applicable regulations.

Requirements

Must have U.S. Citizenship to obtain post-hire Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Clearance.
Must be able to obtain post-hire clearance from the Committee on Foreign Investments in the U.S. (CFIUS) and Department of Justice.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar field.
PMP certification.
5 years of experience in technical/engineering project management.
Prior experience communicating pertinent and technical information to external customers and other stakeholders.
Prior experience managing scope and requirements autonomously.
Proven experience with PM tools – Confluence, JIRA or equivalent.
Proven experience building project schedules with Microsoft Project.
Proven experience performing risk management activities such as project cost forecasting, measurement of project cost variance, developing and monitoring project risk contingencies and adherence to KPIs.
Proven track record with change management, including planning for various stages of transformational and transitional change.
Technical understanding of multi-tier enterprise solutions in a complex environment, including front end, back end, data centers, deployment across locations, hardware deployment, software issues, network connectivity, and disaster recovery.
