About the Role
The Director of Community Relations leads marketing and community engagement to drive occupancy at our assisted living community. This role serves as the primary public face of the organization, fostering relationships with families, residents, and staff to ensure a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and direct all marketing activities and special events.
- Maintain occupancy levels and conduct facility tours.
- Perform prompt follow-up on all leads.
- Monitor marketing plans and budgets, including advertising, brochures, and open houses.
- Educate and support staff regarding their role in marketing the facility.
- Serve as a liaison between resident families and the Administrator.
- Address resident concerns and seek input on service enhancements.
- Coordinate move-ins and move-outs to ensure readiness.
- Improve community relations and public awareness of facility programs.
- Maintain detailed electronic logs of referrals, leads, and move-in/out activity.
- Evaluate program effectiveness.
- Attend company in-services.
- Assist the Executive Director with ad hoc projects.
- Travel to events and locations for marketing and competitive analysis.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of marketing and sales experience in senior housing.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to demonstrate compassion in all interactions.
- Working knowledge of computer programs.
- Knowledge of CMS guidelines, adult programs, and insurance.
