Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze federal income tax issues, including accounting methods, operating partnerships, and LLCs.
  • Assist with M&A tax structuring and internal restructuring.
  • Draft emails and memos.
  • Draft Firm-wide alerts on current developments.
  • Assist with Firm-wide trainings.

Requirements

  • JD or LL.M (Tax).
  • 20+ years of progressive federal income tax consulting experience in National Tax Office work, accounting methods, or operating partnerships.
  • Strong experience with accounting methods, LLC and partnership tax issues (allocations, liabilities, capital shifts, continuations, divisions, profits interests).
  • Experience working at a large accounting firm.

Skills

  • Excel proficiency
  • Proficiency with tax research databases (Bloomberg BNA, RIA Checkpoint)
