About the Role

The Portfolio Management Analyst is responsible for analyzing, valuing, forecasting, and strategizing for all real estate private equity funds owned by Jonathan Rose Companies. This role requires interaction with various internal departments and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Performs portfolio analysis and valuations for funds, corporate entities, and underlying properties.
• Works with external appraisers to meet deadlines for appraisal orders.
• Assists with initial asset level and fund level business plans, including strategy documentation and financial performance forecasting.
• Updates asset level business plans annually and reforecasts returns in collaboration with Asset Managers.
• Reviews and communicates analysis results to Asset Management, identifying key areas of concern.
• Supports the quarterly reporting process and annual investor meetings with Asset Management and Investor Relations teams.
• Updates REO, debt summary, track record, and PM database quarterly, and AUM tracker annually.
• Assists the Director of Portfolio Management with ad hoc investor requests.
• Performs fund level cash flow projections and assists the team in strategizing to improve investor returns.

Requirements

• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, especially Microsoft Excel
• Quantitative analytical skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to be a self-starter, take initiative, and multi-task in a busy environment
• Attention to detail
• Advanced financial modeling skills
• GAAP accounting principles preferred

Experience Level

• 1-2 years of experience with overall financial analysis of an assigned portfolio of multifamily properties or projects preferred.

Education Level

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Real Estate or related field required.
