About the Role
The Photography & Videography Intern will capture and collect content onsite at school programs, showcasing children, staff, events, and activities. Interns will act as expert storytellers, capturing moments that demonstrate youth participation to share with communities and families.
Responsibilities
- Travel between recess, physical education, after school, and sports programs across NYC as a Kids in the Game ambassador.
- Capture content from special events, showcases, and everyday activities, and share content with our Marketing Team.
- Have an understanding of the types of photos and videos we are looking for, and why we want that type of content.
- Edit photos and videos to ensure the highest quality of content.
- Upload and sort photos and videos on our photography platform: Waldo.
- Collaborate with members of the Marketing department to ensure content is captured and uploaded promptly.
Requirements
- Having your own DSLR camera is preferred.
- Quality phone cameras are also okay.
- Portfolio required.
- Must be able to work within a team environment and independently.
- Must have an entrepreneurial spirit and will be called upon to assist in solving problems for our families and go above and beyond to promote safety, fun, and a family spirit.
- Expected to communicate quickly and efficiently with their direct manager and other leadership team members.
- Use of organization-wide communication channels and policies are required (Slack, GSuite, Asana, others as assigned).
