About the Role

The Marketing Specialist is an early-career marketing professional who plays an integral role in supporting the day-to-day execution of the Chamber's marketing efforts across brand, membership, events, and communications. This role is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented marketer who is eager to grow their skills across multiple marketing disciplines in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of marketing campaigns across digital, social, email, and print channels.
  • Assist in the creation and scheduling of social media content, ensuring consistency with brand voice and editorial calendar.
  • Draft copy for email newsletters, event promotions, member communications, and website updates.
  • Coordinate asset production with internal teams and external vendors, ensuring deliverables are on brand and on time.
  • Support marketing efforts for Chamber signature events, programs, and member activations.
  • Assist in the development of event promotional materials including digital graphics, email campaigns, and social content.
  • Coordinate event logistics support as it relates to marketing and communications needs.
  • Support member onboarding communications and engagement campaigns throughout the member lifecycle.
  • Assist with the development of member-facing marketing materials that highlight Chamber programs, initiatives, and resources.
  • Help track and report on member engagement metrics to inform ongoing marketing strategy.
  • Maintain and update the marketing calendar, ensuring all deadlines and deliverables are accurately tracked.
  • Organize and manage digital asset libraries including images, templates, and branded materials.
  • Conduct research and compile competitive and industry insights to support campaign development and strategic planning.
  • Support the marketing team with meeting preparation, reporting, and general administrative needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a marketing, communications, or related role; internship experience considered.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and basic content scheduling tools like Sprout.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana.
  • Basic design skills using tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Knowledge of or interest in the Greater Philadelphia business community.
  • Experience working in a nonprofit, civic, or membership-based organization.
