About the Role

This internship offers college students the chance to support exciting local and national projects, gaining exposure to infrastructure projects like water/wastewater piping, pump stations, treatment facilities, and stormwater infrastructure. Interns may also engage in design and analysis involving hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, stream restoration, natural channel design, water availability modeling, and regional water planning.

Responsibilities

Assist in project administration, including report writing, information gathering, proposal drafting, correspondence, project cost tracking, and progress reporting.
Support technical staff with project tasks such as researching, compiling, and evaluating project data, preparing reports, and performing design calculations.
Gain exposure to and perform basic tasks in CAD, GIS, and other design programs.
Perform construction observations and assist with field work as needed.
Work with engineering modeling software including CAD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, InfoWorks ICM, or other water-related programs.
Complete other engineering and administrative duties as required.

Requirements

Must be a highly motivated and dependable student.
Must be currently taking or have previously taken civil and/or environmental engineering courses.

Salary/Compensations

Pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required.
Final compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
