About the Role

As the full-time Store Team Leader, you are the CEO of your store, taking pride in maximizing daily operations and developing a strong team through effective coaching and training. You will make strategic decisions to drive business, deliver operational excellence, and uphold AEO Brand Standards.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales by maximizing store productivity and building guest loyalty through a best-in-class guest experience.
  • Create, manage, and own the store's business plan to meet KPI goals.
  • Analyze reporting and daily sales trends to make innovative business decisions to achieve store financial goals.
  • Recruit, hire, and retain a high-performing team.
  • Advocate for team development, encourage pursuit of internal opportunities, and maintain a succession plan.
  • Develop store leadership through training, performance feedback, individual development plans, and annual reviews.
  • Champion a culture of teamwork and recognition by establishing and communicating goals.
  • Hold the team accountable to brand standards and celebrate outstanding performance.
  • Ensure the store consistently maintains AEO Brand Visual Standards by owning all visual and merchandising processes.
  • Manage Floorsets, merchandise adjustments, and replenishment.
  • Evaluate traffic, calendars, and payroll reports to create effective schedules that meet business needs.
  • Ensure payroll is in check and leverage top talent to deliver an impeccable guest experience.
  • Demonstrate integrity in compensation decisions.
  • Ensure audit and shrink results meet Asset Protection Standards.
  • Follow AEO's policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Love AE and Aerie products.
  • Previous retail management experience leading functional teams.
  • Ability to multi-task with attention to detail, priority-setting, and time management skills.
  • Experience leading and developing teams.
  • General understanding of employment law.
  • Track record of effective communication and conflict management.
  • Business acumen.
  • Understanding of how to analyze reporting to drive sales.
  • Flexible availability to work when the guest shops.
