About the Role

Okta is building the trusted, neutral infrastructure to enable organizations to safely embrace AI. This role involves designing systems that help developers secure AI agents, manage granular permissions, and build on identity primitives. Engineers, PMs, and Designers work collaboratively on the same problems simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Prototype at volume using AI tools and code to explore dozens of directions quickly.
• Design in the codebase within a React and Next.js environment to refine components and interactions.
• Simplify complexity by turning authorization models, SDK patterns, and security flows into clear interfaces.
• Raise the craft by helping the broader design org understand this way of working.

Requirements

• 6+ years of design experience.
• Experience prototyping in the browser, shipping side projects, or writing production code.
• A real AI practice with opinions on where AI tools help and where they fall short.
• Experience designing for developers, including tools, APIs, CLIs, SDKs, and admin dashboards.
• Include a link to your portfolio with password (if protected) in your application.
• Prioritize review of design craft and any examples of work in code.
