About the Role

Own and drive our Pension proposition, leading a newly launched product within a cross-functional pod. You will be accountable for the end-to-end Pension product, from shaping the roadmap to driving delivery and iterating on outcomes. We seek a proactive individual with energy, opinions, and urgency who can identify priorities, make decisions, and lead effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the Pension product roadmap from concept to delivery, focusing on customer and business impact.
  • Collaborate with leadership to define the strategy for Pension.
  • Lead ideation, concept refinement, and define requirements with engineering and design partners, making timely product decisions.
  • Utilize AI tools within the product development lifecycle for research, prototyping, specification, and iteration.
  • Manage complex stakeholder relationships across operations, risk, compliance, commercial, and senior leadership, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
  • Define and own success metrics for the Pension proposition, using data for opportunity identification and rapid course correction.
  • Coordinate relationships with third-party providers relevant to the Pension product, such as SIPP providers and platform integrations.

  • Product management experience, preferably in a scale-up or high-growth environment.
  • Deep customer understanding, ability to write clear requirements, make considered UX decisions, and ship quality products at pace.
  • Ability to flexibly manage and prioritize opportunities and problems.
  • Uses data to identify problems, validate solutions, and set meaningful success metrics.
  • Considers revenue, cost, and business model implications in all product decisions.
  • Actively uses AI tools in the daily product process.
  • Experience in fintech, with a preference for investments, wealth management, or pension products.
  • Familiarity with the UK pension landscape, including SIPP products and pension transfers.
  • Understanding of the regulatory environment for pensions (e.g., FCA-regulated products, consumer duty) is a plus.
  • Comfortable presenting and aligning with senior leadership, including at the executive level.
  • Ability to navigate operations, compliance, risk, legal, and commercial stakeholders efficiently.
  • Clear, direct communicator (written and verbal) adaptable to different audiences.
  • Excited about Chip's mission to simplify and make saving, investing, and pensions more accessible.
  • Possesses empathy, self-awareness, sound judgment, resilience, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Is a positive and supportive team member, especially during challenging times.
