About the Role

Citizenship and Science Academy of Syracuse is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Dean of Students to foster a positive, structured, and student-centered school environment for the 2026–2027 academic year.

Responsibilities

• Consistently implement the school’s Code of Conduct
• Train and educate staff, students, and families on behavior expectations and policies
• Maintain a visible and accessible presence throughout the school
• Analyze behavioral data to identify trends and implement action plans
• Identify students in need of behavioral support and develop targeted intervention plans
• Build positive relationships with students and families to support a respectful school culture
• Collaborate with counselors and teachers to develop and implement RTI (Response to Intervention) processes
• Work collaboratively with administrators, teachers, and parents while maintaining professionalism

Requirements

• Master’s Degree required
• Experience working with diverse student populations and/or in an urban setting preferred
• Fingerprint clearance through the NYS Department of Education
