About the Role
Personal Touch Food Service, Inc. is seeking Substitute Food Service Workers/Cashiers to support the school cafeteria team at Cattaraugus-Little Valley Central School District. This flexible, on-call position is ideal for individuals seeking part-time work within a school community, offering a friendly and supportive team atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and serving nutritious meals to students
- Operate the cash register and process transactions accurately
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and cafeteria
- Restock supplies and assist with food prep and cleanup
- Follow all food safety and hygiene standards
- Pass required background checks per district and NYS regulations
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Prior food service or school cafeteria experience is a plus, but not required
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a positive attitude
- Dependable and punctual, with a strong track record of showing up ready to work
- Ability to work well with others as part of a team, including coworkers, school staff, and students
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, noisy school cafeteria environment
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds
- Must pass all background checks and comply with school and company health and safety requirements
