About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Practice responsible alcohol service in accordance with local and state laws, including identification verification and intoxication prevention.
  • Assist in all aspects of store operations, focusing on cleanliness, product display fullness, signage quality, safety, and customer service.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by being knowledgeable on all products and providing excellent sales service.
  • Maintain awareness of all product knowledge, and current or upcoming product trends.
  • Set and achieve the highest standards in retail execution.
  • Communicate regularly with Store Team Leaders regarding proper store operations.
  • Operate POS, make change, conduct credit card transactions, and account for all monies at the end of each shift.
  • Respond promptly to customer needs and questions, and request assistance when necessary.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are correct and maintain accuracy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Strong knowledge of company policies, goals, and standards.
  • Ability to act with integrity, honesty, and professionalism.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and oral and written communication skills.
  • Confident and comfortable engaging customers to deliver an elevated experience and provide excellent customer service.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership.
  • Ability to use technology applicable to the position and access necessary information.
  • Desire to continually develop retail sales skills and product/service knowledge.
  • Demonstrate creativity in promoting sales, merchandising, and/or marketing.
  • Ability to follow directions and initiate task completion without supervision.
  • Problem-solving skills, especially in high-stress situations.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments, meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, seeking to improve quality and applying feedback.
  • Full knowledge of all TABC regulations applicable to the company.
  • Progressive retail experience.
  • Product knowledge in wine and spirits.
  • Ability to stand for 4-hour intervals, for a total of 8 hours per day, up to 40 hours per week.
  • Ability to frequently climb a ladder.
  • Ability to frequently twist, bend, stoop, kneel, and crawl.
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds, repeatedly.
  • Ability to work 8 hours at a time.
  • Ability to work on weekdays, weekends, and to work opening, mid-day, and closing shifts.
  • Ability to work alone during weekdays, weekends, opening, mid-day, and closing shifts.
