About the Role
The role focuses on generating and driving revenue by identifying, developing, and optimizing new and existing client opportunities within the Commercial Card arena. You will manage a portfolio of key card programs and build long-term partnerships to support business growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of 20-25 key card programs
- Proactively generate new business opportunities from instigation to implementation
- Deliver objective settings to drive program optimization and growth
- Manage costs to meet or reduce target cost-to-income ratios
- Negotiate terms of commercial agreements internally and with clients
- Close sales and process contracts
- Build relationships with new and existing clients to understand their requirements
- Attend and support the delivery of client meetings and conferences
- Develop and implement new ways of working for long-term partnerships
- Implement best practices to support enhanced customer journeys
- Analyze market trends and their impact on revenue streams
- Collect and share competitor and trend analysis
- Communicate new income opportunities to internal stakeholders
- Attend networking and local business groups to build professional networks
Requirements
- Proven B2B sales experience, ideally as a Commercialization, Sales, or Account Manager
- Track record of understanding customer needs and delivering excellent customer service
- Flexible and adaptable approach to change
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt style to the audience
- Ability to travel as required to meet national and European clients
- Must be based within an easy commutable distance of London
Skills
- Commercial Card industry knowledge
- Global Payments Solutions (GPS) knowledge
- Commercial Banking experience
- European market exposure
- Fluency in Spanish, French, German, or Italian (advantageous)
