About the Role

Open Door Family Medical Centers is seeking a Dental Patient Service Representative for its Ossining, NY location to assist in the provision of dental services. The role involves managing patient information, facilitating patient flow, responding to inquiries, and processing payments.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient information, including insurance, copays, and contact details, for entry into eCW.
• Facilitate patient flow by notifying providers of arrivals, managing delays, and communicating with patients and staff.
• Respond courteously to inquiries from patients, prospective patients, and visitors.
• Provide patients with necessary forms, office policies, and legally required documents.
• Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on provider availability.
• Process payments from patients for uninsured services.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility.
• Call patients to remind them of upcoming appointments.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
• Superior customer service skills and experience.
• Flexible and solutions-driven.
• Responsive and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment with different types of providers.
• Passionate about providing high-quality care to low-income, underserved residents and those lacking access to health care.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Engage in learning and continuous quality improvement.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with a culturally diverse patient and staff population.
