About the Role
Utilize imaging equipment to conduct radiological diagnostic procedures during orthopedic cases and pain management injections.
Responsibilities
- Operate computer and radiographic equipment to produce radiographs under physician supervision
- Perform quality control measures to ensure optimal image quality
- Prepare patients for procedures by assessing needs and providing education
- Record chart notations in the Patient Information System
- Maintain records, files, and film storage according to department policy
- Practice safety measures in radiography and the environment of care
- Maintain and test equipment for proper functionality
- Attend continuing education courses and annual OSHA training
- Monitor staff exposure doses and manage radiography supplies and equipment
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Evaluate imaging results to ensure diagnostic accuracy
- Communicate diagnostic information to physicians and the healthcare team
Requirements
- AAS in Radiologic Technology
- AART Registration
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to assist with lifting or turning disabled patients
