About the Role
JPW Structural Contracting in Syracuse, NY is seeking a Truck & Trailer Mechanic to perform routine maintenance, maintain service records, and operate and inspect equipment safely.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance work on equipment
- Maintain service records
- Operate and inspect equipment
- Expected to work in a safe manner
- Other related tasks as identified
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years practical experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment and machines
- Possess a valid CDL-B license
- Basic computer knowledge a plus
- Inspection certification a plus
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test and be subject to random testing during course of employment
- Possess the coordination, physical strength, and agility to complete required tasks within the allotted time frame
- Able to quickly and repeatedly bend, stretch, twist, or reach out with body, arms and/or legs without restriction
- Acceptable visual acuity, either corrected or uncorrected
- Able to work at heights and in extreme temperatures and moderately inclement weather
