About the Role

The role involves preparing high-quality food in accordance with federal, state, and corporate standards, ensuring quality service, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and schedules
• Serve meals using correct portioning and temperature standards
• Taste all prepared food items for quality
• Clean kitchen areas and maintain high standards of cleanliness
• Store or discard excess food following safe food-handling procedures
• Maintain clean and organized refrigerators and storerooms
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment
• Assist in production planning, record keeping, and reporting
• Assist in ordering and receiving food and supplies
• Report maintenance needs, faulty equipment, or accidents to supervisors
• Attend in-service and safety meetings
• Maintain professional relationships with coworkers and customers
• Follow HACCP standards for food presentation and temperature control
• Adhere to safety policies including use of cut gloves, oven mitts, and slip-resistant shoes

Requirements

• Previous kitchen experience
• Excellent knife skills
• Sanitation knowledge
• Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
