About the Role
This role is the primary point of contact within Highmark Pharmacy Services for negotiating pharmacy and vendor contracts, managing the end-to-end contract lifecycle, and resolving related matters. The incumbent will collaborate with legal counsel and internal stakeholders to maximize value and mitigate risk, supporting the organization's strategic pharmacy contracting portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Manage pharmacy contracts including development, negotiation, renewal, termination, execution, and storage with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate with internal, external, and vendor legal counsel during contract negotiation and execution.
- Interface with organizational stakeholders to manage the contract portfolio, maximizing value and mitigating risk.
- Partner with the Pharmacy Services leadership team on contracting initiatives to support strategic goals.
- Provide guidance or expertise to other analysts and stakeholders during collaborative initiatives.
- Address, investigate, and resolve pharmacy contract matters and issues post-execution.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Management or five years of relevant experience and/or education.
- 5 - 7 years of Contract Development Experience.
- 5 - 7 years of Contract Management Experience.
- Adherence to ethical and legal standards, and company policies.
- Compliance with HIPAA and data security guidelines.
- Compliance with the company's Code of Business Conduct.
